Albania in short Albania joined the Eurovision in 2004, sending winners of its Festivali I Kenges - an institution running since 1962, which can be compared to San Remo (we're talking age and domestic status, not quality here).
Only their debut entrant Anjeza Shahini did better than a bunch of neighbour and emigrant votes to date. 2008 Young Olta Boka won the festival this year with the Pop ballad Zemrën lamë peng (We Gambled The Heart) and will travel to nearby Belgrade to gamble her lame peng. We wish her luck in her wager. |
