Croatia in short Croatia debuted in 1993 and managed to qualify to every Eurovision final - until 2007, when they failed to qualify, and their Serbian neighbours became the first Ex-Yugoslav winners.
Before independence, Croatia was responsible for Yugoslavia's best results, including Riva in 1989, their only winners. Croatian songs are known for their repeating and uninspired verses - with one exception, full of stilettos, paprika and other spices. 2008 Kraljevi Ulice & 75 Cents will romance the audience in Belgrade. At 75, 75 Cents will be the oldest confirmed performer in ESC history - that is, unless he doesn't make it, or we finally get to confirm Nikki French's age. |
