Ireland in Eurovision 2008 - Irelande Douze Points (Dustin the Turkey feat. Kitty B) - Eurovision Nation Ireland

Ireland in short

Ireland is historically the most successful country in the Eurovision Song Contest, with no less than 7 victories (although only three of their winning artists were born in the Republic of Ireland). In freedom of language years (1973-1976 and 1999 onwards) they have unfortunately never made a top 5 result. Thankfully, due to recent trends, it seems they will hold on to their record for many years to come.

Ireland was positively notable in 2007 in that the millions of Irish people in the UK preferred quality to nationalism and left Dervish with no points from the UK, and only five Albanian points in total.

National superstar Dustin the Turkey will dance up Europe to his turkey beat with Irelande Douze Pointe. We would love to have Dustin as a reporter for this website, but we couldn't get hold of him yet.
